The Rock (2)

OLIVER, someone over there, sent me a comment for my previous posting, The Rock (1), a new band founded by Ahmad Dhani with his three Aussies colleage. Just to say, Ahmad Dhani is prominent people in this country as young talented musician. In The Rock, Ahmad Dhani sang his song, Munajat Cinta and became the soul of this band. Oliver wrote:

Just back from a short break in Bali. I heard Munajat Cinta on the radio and on MTV. Sounded so good I bought the CD. No idea about what the lyrics mean, but the tune is quite good…

Without doubt, I try to translate this Indonesian lyrics into English. I’m so sorry,  my English and my English comprehension is so bad because I never learned this language formally. But I have enthusiasm for study, try to understand the meaning and learn how people speaking. With this limitation, I try to translate Munajat Cinta into English. Here it is… 

Munajat Cinta =Begging for Love

Malam ini ku sendiri =Tonight I’m alone
tak ada yang menemani =no one accompany
seperti malam-malam =just like the nights
yang sudah sudah =before

Hati ini selalu sepi =This heart is always lonely
tak ada yang menghiasi, =no one decorate
seperti cinta ini =just like this love
yang s’lalu pupus =that always fading

Tuhan kirimkanlah aku =God send me
kekasih yang baik hati =a good fiancee
yang mencintai aku =who loving me
apa adanya =just the way I’m

Mawar ini semakin layu =This rose more and more wilted
tak ada yang memiliki =no one belonging
seperti aku ini =just like me
semakin pupus =more and more fading.
