Franky Sahilatua Passed Away
Today, Wednesday, 20th April 2011, Indonesia has lost an artist magnitude, Franky Sahilatua. He died of spinal cancer suffered for a long time. Together with Jane, the couple sang, Frankky left a lot of songs memories for the younger generation of Indonesia.
The first time I heard the name Franky & Jane, says the two names seemed to be one, when I was attending first grade junior high school in 1981. The first time most hit song was “Musim Bunga” (Summer Flowers) and “Perjalanan” (Travel). Franky carry other colors in the music of Indonesia, namely the element of the Country and the lyric ballads, particularly on the song “Perjalanan”. If you look at this song, guitar ballads and fiddle violin was much thicker.
The song “Musim Bunga” that I’ll never forget, because this was the song when my memories of my adolescence and thirst for any kind of any song, including songs of Frank & Jane. While the song “Perjalanan” Jane’s absolute, because there is no sound Franky. No doubt, “Musim Bunga” and “Perjalanan” marks the beginning of a successful musical journey Franky & Jane.
