Rod Stewart

DUSSELDORF, Germany, December 7th 2007, in Pizza Hut Restaurant in railway station, I heard Rod Stewart husky voice, shout “Matilda” softly. I accompanied with Budi Putra, an Indonesian blogger who invited by Nokia to attend the annual meeting in Amsterdam, Holland. But, I didn’t find Stewart song name “Matilda”. He just shout that name ini his song. Frankly, I dind’t know the title, but I know best that song.

Born Januari 10th 1945, Roderick David Stewart is a singer and songwriter who raised in London, England.  He was the youngest of five children in Highgate, North London, to parents Robert and Elsie Stewart who ran a newsagent.  

Rod was the first of his siblings (two brothers,  two sisters) to be born in England after the family moved from Scotland. He attended the Wiiliam Grimshaw School and picked up his guitar at the age od eleven.

In 1970-ies, I often heard his husky voice singing “Sailing”. Then, when I was in senior high school, I knew another song, “I Don’t Want To Talk About It”. Here’s the lyrics and some:
